Just became a member. Have enjoyed you on YouTube for a while. You take the pain out of work and surviving with Fun Trouble. 🤪

Just got home from going to see the 911 Honor Lights on Mount Washington, NH. Got teary eyed thinking about it being 25 years ago and my life since.

In 2001 was a single mom of a 14 year old. I was dating a man who was kind, funny, and hard working.( Not qualities her father possessed). My daughter, being 14, hated it.

September 11th morning my daughter fell. She could hardly walk so we went to the ER. That’s when the 1st plane hit. We watched from the waiting room as the second plane hit. Doctors, nurses, cafe workers, housekeeping, and other patients all glued to the TVs in the waiting room. It was surreal. My daughter was ok with just bruising, so we left for home.

As we headed home we passed where the man I was seeing worked. I heard a quiet ‘Mom? Can we stop and tell Jim?’ Surprised I said sure.

I sat and listened to her tell everything we saw on that morning. He asked her questions that she answered almost in tears. He comforted her and she asked him if he’d stop on his way home so we could all watch news on what was happening together. 😊🥹

From that day on they were best buddies.

We married in 2004 and he was the proudest person in the arena when she graduated from college. He father called that night to tell her he was sorry he didn’t make it. Her response was. ‘It’s OK My father wasn’t there because My Dad was!’ 🫠

Jim passed away unexpectedly 2 months later, but I think back to that awful day in September 2001 and how it brought the two most important people in my life together.

Keep up the wonderful work you do because in all the chaos and deflating nonsense going on today, continue to make that Fun Trouble to keep us sane. ❤️
