DJT's fronto-temporal dementia is progressing rapidly. Even his synchophants are noticing. Anyone who watches, hears or reads the rants of DJT is figuring out that he is deranged & demented.

The whole world is suffering because of certain people. Trump is destroying our reputation and if we don't stop him then we didn't deserve our freedom. Wake up, everyone

The irony of it.Did you I think he's on the take? He's getting kickbacks from iran and everybody else because he loves dictators , they're all in on it together to make money , just like he's manipulating the stock market , and everything else for the benefit of his buddies himself

Of course, he’s on ‘the take’… that’s what he’s always been doing, starting with his casino biz…

Most of us Boomers are

icreasingly nostalgic for Richard Nixon. Despite his paranoia, he was a man of humble origins, who served his country in WWII, and truly wanted to go down as a great president.

"Tricky Dick" supported the establishment of the Environmental Protection Agency, supported our allies, and actually wanted establishing a national health system.

His corruption is indeed quaint.

He also liked dogs.

When GOP vice-presidential nominee, he faced removal over a private fund scandal.

He went on TV, denied wrongdoing, detailed his finances, and appealed directly to voters—famously mentioning a dog named “Checkers.”

Result: Public backlash saved his candidacy and cemented the use of televised, populist appeals.

Watergate and resignation (1974)

In United States v. Nixon, the Court unanimously forced Nixon to release Oval Office tapes, rejecting absolute executive privilege.

▶️

The tapes implicated him in obstruction. Senior Republicans—Barry Goldwater and others—told him he’d be convicted in the Senate.

Result: Nixon resigned (Aug. 8, 1974).

Bottom line:

1952: saved by public appeal (be fire I was born).

1974: undone by courts & loss of party support.

(during junior high)

In those days, there really was a Republican Party, and it was pro immigration, like all post WWII, except one.
