In the summer of 2024 I wrote a short film for Eleven Films, the production company behind The Dangerous Ones. We called it The World Is Watching.
That July, France and Britain both went to the polls. In France, a left-wing coalition won the most seats. In Britain, Labour won and Keir Starmer became prime minister. A few weeks later, the race in this country started over with a new Democratic ticket. The film puts those moments side by side, goes back to World War II and January 6, and ends on one question.
Jim, Tiffany, Nick and I talked about it on The Dangerous Ones’ Election Night show last night. Two years later, that question still stands: are you ready to make your voice heard?
Script by Dr. Rod Berger. An Eleven Films production. Runs 2:16.
