Donald Trump spent Friday banning CNN, MS NOW and Politico from the White House. By Monday, the White House had launched a 24-hour YouTube stream called Trump TV. You really cannot accuse this administration of subtlety. So Jim and Nick watched the launch and asked the obvious question: are we looking at something genuinely concerning, a giant presidential vanity project, or an operation that will collapse under the unbearable workload of actually having to make television every single day? Then we saw the production quality, and suddenly one of those possibilities started looking considerably stronger. Somebody apparently found the Seinfeld folder and said, “Yeah, ship it.”
