A fresh batch of memes for the national rebrand

Hello, Danger Corps! It’s Monday, August 31, 2026, and apparently America is undergoing a rebranding exercise nobody remembers approving.

Six months into the Iran war, Americans are still feeling its economic aftershocks through higher oil and travel costs. Meanwhile, a federal judge has again temporarily blocked Trump’s mail-voting executive order, setting up yet another court fight just as the midterms get uncomfortably close. And because governing apparently leaves time for graphic design, Google Maps is now showing “Lake America” instead of Lake Ontario to U.S. users after Trump ordered the federal name changed.

Here’s the fun part: an executive order can make Lake America the official name used by the U.S. federal government. It cannot order Canada, other countries, international organizations, states or the entire human race to play along. So yes, Washington can change its maps. No, Trump has not acquired the international naming rights to water.😆🌊

And the rebranding department isn’t done. The Trump-controlled Kennedy Center board is still trying to put his name back on the building after a federal judge ruled that Congress, not the board, controls the memorial’s official name. At this rate, the Statue of Liberty should probably stop answering unexpected calls like the rest of us.😂

While all that gets sorted out, we thought you could use a laugh!!
