Hello, Danger Corps! Itâs Saturday, August 29, 2026, and Trump has somehow managed to lose a war, an election fight and the same court case all at once.
Trumpâs supposedly six-week war with Iran has officially reached six months, negotiations remain stalled and commercial traffic through the Strait of Hormuz is still a fraction of its prewar level, even as the administration insists the shipping lanes have been cleared of mines. This isnât a military strategy anymore. Itâs a kitchen remodel where the contractor keeps saying, âTwo more weeks,â except the kitchen is the Middle East and everything is on fire.
Meanwhile, a federal judge temporarily blocked Trumpâs new Postal Service rules requiring states to redesign mail-ballot envelopes and upload voter information shortly before the midterms. Apparently, âYou cannot redesign an entire election by next Tuesdayâ remains a sentence judges must repeatedly explain to the president.
And another federal judge rejected Trumpâs latest attempt to move his hush-money case into federal court, leaving his 34-count felony conviction exactly where he found it. His attorneys plan to appeal, because Trumpâs legal strategy is now just clicking âTry Againâ until the website crashes.
