Hello Danger Corps, or as our friends in Ireland say, Dia daoibh, Danger Corps! 🇮🇪 It’s Thursday, August 20, 2026, and America has somehow served up a $40 trillion tab, economic warfare, and a ballroom bunker before breakfast. Also, you may have noticed that we are now saying hello in English and each day we will say hello in another language for the Danger Corps across the globe! 🌍🥰
The national debt has officially crossed $40 trillion, which is less a number than a cry for help wearing a necktie. Trump, meanwhile, announced an “Economic D-Day” against Iran and warned countries helping Tehran do business that they could face consequences. That is an enormous escalation with real stakes for the war, oil, trade, and pretty much anyone who enjoys a world economy that is not actively on fire.
And then there’s the White House ballroom. The Trump administration is asking the Supreme Court to let construction continue by arguing that the project is a “military complex” essential to national security. Apparently, the nuclear football now needs a dance floor.
While we wait, we thought you could use a laugh!! 😂
Below, we pulled together the political memes that made us laugh, groan, and briefly forget that “military ballroom” is now a phrase we’re expected to discuss seriously. Some days the memes are dessert. Today they’re the emergency flotation device. Plus there is a behind-the-scenes photo of us with Senator Ron Wyden and even a video!
Let’s get dangerous!

Trump’s Natalie Harp Problem Just Got Much Bigger😆
Who is Natalie Harp, and why is Donald Trump’s unusually close aide suddenly at the center of a political firestorm?
Jim Drastic, Tiffany Drastic and Nick Knudsen dive into the strange, fascinating story of Natalie Harp, Trump’s executive assistant known as the “human printer,” the intimate letters reportedly left for Trump, her unusual role managing information and social media around the president, and the massive reaction after Sen. Jon Ossoff merely mentioned her name. 👏👏
His MAGA Dad Insulted Him. Then He Touched the Wi-Fi 🤣
Jim, Tiffany, and Nick react to three political family stories involving a MAGA dad, an IT-savvy son, a woman finally drawing boundaries with her conservative family, and a Trump supporter discovering that government services can actually be pretty damn useful 😆
We believe laughter and activism are two of the most powerful tools we have in the fight for democracy. Because people deserve more than another reason to feel angry, afraid or helpless. They deserve a place where they can laugh, tell the truth, find their people and remember that what they do still matters.
Here is an exclusive video of Ron Wyden signing our wall in the studio! Check it out!! ❤️👀
