Danger Corps! It’s Thursday, August 27, 2026, and we have a confession to make. We ran out of coffee yesterday morning and while in caffeine withdrawals sent the Dangerous Daily Memeletter with news from August 7th. So let’s just say it was our flashback issue. But we have restocked our Bustelo and are ready to take another swing at this! 😂

While we were licking the empty coffee jar apparently democracy, global stability and basic human competence all called in sick.

The final nationwide block on Trump’s mail-ballot restrictions has been lifted, so 24 attorneys general and Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro immediately filed a new lawsuit arguing that the Postal Service does not get to decide who can vote.

Meanwhile, Qatar’s prime minister is in Tehran trying to revive diplomacy as Trump’s supposedly four-to-five-week war with Iran approaches its sixth month, with the Strait of Hormuz still at the center of the mess. And CIA Director John Ratcliffe reportedly made a surprise trip to Moscow to warn Russia not to attack NATO countries. Trump called the visit “semi-routine,” because nothing says routine like sending the head of the CIA to deliver a handwritten PLEASE DON’T INVADE EUROPE reminder.
