Hello, Danger Corps! It’s Tuesday, October 13, 2026, and Washington’s revolving door has apparently installed a direct entrance to the Fox News studio. Usually Fox goes looking for the administration. This time, the administration’s former spokesperson is coming to Fox.
But the other headlines are considerably harder to laugh about. The Pentagon’s proposal to livestream a firing-squad execution raises a disturbing question: when did making state-sanctioned killing available on a screen become something we’re even considering? Especially when children could encounter that footage. There’s a difference between public accountability and turning violence into a spectacle, and we should be asking whether repeated exposure risks making the unthinkable feel ordinary.
Meanwhile, federal agents searched Congresswoman Ilhan Omar’s home just 22 days before the midterm elections, reportedly investigating immigration paperwork completed by her late father when she was a child. The Justice Department says it obtained a warrant, but hasn’t publicly disclosed the evidence behind it. Omar and fellow lawmakers are calling the search political intimidation. And given Trump’s years of public attacks against her, the timing is a little more than “sus.” Americans deserve to know why such an extraordinary step was taken so close to an election, especially when federal prosecutors have traditionally avoided overt investigative actions involving candidates during that period.
These aren’t headlines we should become comfortable with. Whether it’s the potential normalization of public executions or concerns about federal law enforcement being used against political opponents, accountability matters. And asking difficult questions shouldn’t depend on which political party someone belongs to.
Today’s news deserves our attention, but it doesn’t have to steal every bit of our joy. So we’re bringing the memes, the humor, and a little Danger Corps solidarity through calls and comment from Danger Corps members themselves. Not because any of this is funny, but because sometimes laughter is how we find the energy to keep paying attention.
Let’s get dangerous! 💙🧡

Just followed you on FB, and was hesitant to buy another subscription (I have at least five already), but then I came to my senses, and realized that what you have to say and share is well worth my sanity…. And a whole lot cheaper than my monthly copay to my mental health professional. NOT JOKING.
