Hello, Danger Corps! It’s Wednesday, November 4, 2026, and America has finally answered the question we’ve been asking for months: What happens when voters have had enough? Well, the results are rolling in,
First up, Democrats are projected to take control of BOTH the House and Senate! And some of the biggest surprises came from states Republicans have counted on for years. Texas elected James Talarico to the Senate and Gina Hinojosa as governor. Kansas elected Adam Hamilton to the Senate, Iowa flipped a Senate seat with Josh Turek, and South Carolina elected Annie Andrews. Meanwhile, Sherrod Brown made his comeback in Ohio, Troy Jackson defeated Susan Collins in Maine, and Roy Cooper flipped North Carolina’s Senate seat, and in Michigan, Abdul El-Sayed defeated Mike Rogers! And there’s so much more than just the swing states. All states matter and should be recognized for the progress, the effort, and the dedication to keep pushing forward.
As of the time of writing early Wednesday morning, some races are still undecided. Alaska’s Senate contest between Mary Peltola and Dan Sullivan remains uncalled, while Mississippi’s race between Scott Colom and Cindy Hyde-Smith is still extremely close. Meanwhile, Republican Kurt Alme has been projected the winner in Montana, and Pete Ricketts has won reelection in Nebraska. Several House races are also still being counted.
So when do the changes begin? The newly elected Democrats take their seats on January 3, 2027, when the 120th Congress officially begins! That’s when new congressional majorities can start setting legislative priorities, launching investigations, and exercising oversight. Of course, passing new laws still requires navigating the legislative process and Trump’s presidential veto power. Election Night is the beginning of the next chapter, not the finish line!
So while the counting continues, we thought you could use a laugh!! 😂
Today we’ve got memes, episode links, and can’t be more thankful for a community that made it through a very long campaign together. We’re not going to quit, so don’t think one feel-good election day, that we’ve ALL been waiting for, will make us put our equipment away. We’re in this for the long haul. Democracy requires perseverance. As a community, we’ve already displayed under incredibly heavy circumstances that we’re in this together, so let’s show them what we’ve got.
Now, Let’s get dangerous! 🩵🧡

Bask, but bask lightly and briefly. We got lots more work to do! All those Dems? We've got to hold their feet to the fire.
But, he's still alive and still in office...
