Hello, Danger Corps! It’s Saturday, October 3, 2026, and Washington has once again proven that the weekend is merely a suggestion.
The G7 agreed Friday to release 100 million barrels of oil and fuel products, starting with a big helping of diesel after U.S. diesel prices hit record highs. Meanwhile, a federal judge temporarily blocked the Trump administration’s border-wall construction across Texas’ Big Bend region, where landowners, businesses, and environmental groups have been fighting the project. And then came perhaps the most government sentence ever written: the Trump administration is reportedly spending about $1.6 million every week to keep 420 Voice of America employees on administrative leave. Apparently, we have finally located the federal government’s most competitive work-from-home program.
So, fuel reserves are opening, bulldozers are stopping, and hundreds of people are being paid not to broadcast. Somewhere, an efficiency consultant just quietly closed their laptop.

This one is from me, Krista! 🌞 I’ve been wanting to share my pictures of shrinkflation. These are FRESHLY opened bags of chicken nuggets from about a month ago. We rarely buy these, decided to give it a chance, and this is what we got. 🤣 Compare the ounces of the “Game Time” nuggets vs. the other. They don’t even list the weight! Like, I’m sorry… just make a smaller bag and we won’t be as mad about it! 😆🤣
