Hello, Danger Corps! It’s Thursday, October 15, 2026, and Washington has found billions of dollars to fight over political power, but apparently nobody can find the coupon code for the American economy.
The latest inflation report shows prices rising 3.7% over the past year, with gasoline up more than 34%. Families are doing mental gymnastics at the gas pump while politicians are doing actual gymnastics to avoid taking responsibility. Meanwhile, outside groups have poured more than $1.2 billion into advertising in competitive congressional races. Imagine having that kind of money to spend telling Americans you understand their financial struggles. And with Election Day approaching, Republicans are pulling spending from some House races while Democrats expand their list of targets. Apparently, the campaign map now comes with an emergency exit.
But there’s some encouraging news from Georgia, where more than 188,600 people voted in person on the first day of early voting, breaking the state’s midterm record. That’s a lot of Americans choosing to make their voices heard instead of waiting for another political advertisement to explain how they should feel.
While we wait for Washington to discover that campaign donations cannot pay our electric bills, we thought you could use a laugh!! 😂
