Instead, it became a sweaty, storm-soaked, security-clogged disaster where the empty seats practically filed their own evacuation paperwork. There were delays, heat, rain, smoke, bizarre crowd claims, and Trump somehow acting like making everyone wait around until late at night was just part of the fun.
In today’s episode, we break down the whole mess: the DC chaos, the storm delay, Trump watching himself on TV, the very specific and deeply unbelievable crowd math, and the MAGA reaction cards that absolutely should be preserved in the Smithsonian’s “Sir, This Is Embarrassing” wing. We also get into the memes, because when Trump tries to turn America’s birthday into a vanity project, the internet does what the internet was built to do: point, laugh, and sharpen the knives of comedy.
And underneath all the jokes is the bigger truth: America’s 250th should belong to the people, not one guy’s ego parade. We can love this country and still say, loudly and joyfully, that democracy deserves better than a swampy state fair hosted by a man who thinks crowd size is a constitutional amendment.
