Hello, Danger Corps! It’s Saturday, October 17, 2026, and Washington has apparently reached the point where the campaign trail needs a revolving door, a calculator, and possibly an emergency exit.
Trump spent Friday campaigning in Georgia, revisiting his false claims about the 2020 election while Republicans try to win over voters who have actual bills to pay. Meanwhile, Republican candidates are distancing themselves from Trump’s tariffs, with September inflation hitting 3.7% and Americans still struggling with the rising cost of living. Apparently, the economic plan is working beautifully, provided you never buy anything. And in the White House, new press secretary Katie Zacharia is already on her way out after less than a week. At this rate, the podium should come with a temporary parking permit.
But the most serious development deserves attention: the Justice Department is threatening California election officials with possible prosecution over disputed voter-eligibility claims. With only 17 days until the midterms, election workers deserve to do their jobs without political intimidation.
And speaking of surveillance, Flock Safety’s license plate cameras are raising serious privacy concerns nationwide. Officers in Georgia, Indiana, Wisconsin, Illinois, Texas, Arkansas, Ohio, Kansas, Massachusetts, and Florida have been implicated in cases involving misuse of the technology for personal reasons, including tracking ex-partners, romantic interests, and other private individuals. Some have been fired, charged, or even imprisoned. These cameras are supposed to help solve crimes, not give someone with a badge a personal stalking service. Apparently, some officers confused public safety with their private dating drama.
While Washington keeps finding new ways to make headlines, we thought you could use a laugh!! 😂
